Relieve Hong Kong supports Hong Kong under the epidemic

Convoy distributes food and resources to the elderly and grassroots with Christmas greetings

Convoy has visited Hong Kong Christian Service Bliss District Elderly Community Centre, Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council and Feeding Hong Kong to distribute food and resources to grassroots families and elderly singletons since the launch of The Relieve Hong Kong Charity Partnership Scheme last week. Convoy hopes to send Christmas blessings to the needy, as well as tide over the epidemic together with Hong Kong people.

Convoy launches “Relieve Hong Kong Charity Partnership Scheme” and establishes Epidemic Support Fund to give Hong Kongers a strong mental boost 

Convoy partnered with 4 local charity organisations to launch the Relieve Hong Kong Charity Partnership Scheme. In the first phase of the Scheme, Convoy will also set up an Epidemic Support Fund of HKD200,000, form an online charity platform to raise funds and solicit supplies, as well as organize charitable activities and community visits, to provide assistance to the needy affected by the epidemic. The Scheme aims to tide over the difficult times together with Hong Kong people.

The Relieve Hong Kong Charity Partnership Scheme officially begins today. Convoy will partner with local charities including Dialogue in the Dark (HK) Foundation, Hong Kong Christian Service, Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council and Green Earth, to offer metal health and elderly care services and relief measures to the underprivileged and promote environmental conservation, hoping to help Hong Kong people relieve pressure and adapt to the new normal, at the same time promote the spirit of tenacity in adversity.

Convoy Volunteer conducted Cognitive Assessment for around 30 elderlies at Hong Kong Christian Services Bliss District Elderly Community Centre. They also spred love by distributing gift packs.

Donated Hand-sanitisers and Anti-pandemic Materials to NGO

Convoy arranged hand-sanitizers workshops. 60 Convoy volunteers took part in hand-sanitizers workshops with reference to the formula recommended by World Health Organization. The hand-sanitizers were donated to NGO together with other anti-pandemic materials for the needy.

Being committed to corporate social responsibility, Convoy pledged to support Earth Hour 2020 organized by WWF. The lights of all Hong Kong offices, including Convoy's new office in Wan Chai and its LED exterior, were switched off for an hour.

Donated 150 Thousand Masks to NGOs and Social Enterprises to Fight Coronavirus

In view of the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the shortage of surgical masks in Hong Kong, Convoy procured over 150 thousand masks from around the world. Each Convoy staff and consultant was granted a box of masks. Meanwhile, Convoy collaborated with 18 social welfare organisations and NGOs to distribute the masks to Hong Kong residents in need. More than 150 Convoy Volunteers ranged from various departments helped with packaging and ensured speedy delivery of the masks to organisations for those in need.

Blood Donation Day

Mid-Autumn Elderly Visit

The Convoy management team, accompanied by 120 Convoy volunteers, joined hands with Saint James' Settlement to visit the elderly community. In addition to giving gifts, the volunteers helped to assess the elderly residents’ living environment and health condition for follow up by social workers.

“Bring Our Kids To Work Day”

Convoy demonstrated its family-friendly culture by organising a "Bring Our Kids To Work Day" to encourage colleagues to bring their kids to the office. Convoy interns played the role of ‘buddy’ and participated in specially organised art and craft workshops together with the visiting children.

Sports Training Programme Sponsorship for Underprivileged Teenagers

To support Stone Tsang in completing the Hong Kong Four Trails Ultra Challenge, Convoy donated $80,000 to sponsor 200 children from low income families to join sports training programmes. The sponsorship initiative expanded their horizons by offering them the opportunity to train and engage in healthy sports.

Chinese New Year Elderly Visit

60 volunteers visited elderly residents living on their own at Lek Yuen Estate in Sha Tin on the eve of Lunar New Year, bringing traditional Lunar New Year meals and treats as well as daily necessities to celebrate the festival.
